Mission

We provide a safe space for humans and animals. We are a non-clinical mental health support center that integrates unconventional animals into animal-assisted interventions & peer support.

Post-traumatic Growth

Cara Cribb, the founder, executive director (and many other positions for this organization) is the perfect example of PTG. What is that, anyway? To put it simply, although it is not a simple answer, Cara turned her trauma into something positive. Things were bad (feel free to read her story), but instead of giving up she realized that she can't be alone and needed to create an out-of-the-box mental health resource for those who don't do well in a clinical environment.

She spent every penny she earned (and her husband's), as well as going into debt to create this space called Anchor ME Harbor, a place where people and animals can heal.

Cara is currently obtaining all fo the credentials to become a counselor for this non-profit.
